What a nice lead into the Christmas Holiday : 12-19-06...with a beatin' on those crybaby Giants. The offense was a machine, the defense was aggressive, and the team overcame mistakes to post their 8th victory over the NYG. Get the dinner done early on Christmas, seatbelt yourself in front of the tube and watch our Birds to give T.O. and the 'Boys their Christmas gift with a good 'ole ass-whooping in Dallas on Xmas Day, at 5:00 PM. A Great Beginning For The 2nd Half Of The Season : 11-14-06The Eagles handled the Redskins the way they should have and got a well deserved victory. We must take note, that, even though there were two losses in the mix, the Eagles defense has only given up one offensive TD, in the last three games. The Tennessee Titans are at the Linc, on Sunday, and the refreshed Birds should improve their record with a dominating win in this match-up. No need to worry about this one! Game time 1:00 PM, on CBS.

Back From Vacation !!!! : 11-07-06So now it is time for pressure football. If the Eagles are going to the playoffs, they must begin this week. The 'Skins should be a " W " for the Birds, even though we have said this many times this season. Hopefully, the offense will be back where it was at the beginning of the season. My heart is speaking this week and I certainly hope that the Eagles have as much heart as their fans, and play that way.

Is it time for Pitchers and Catchers yet ??? : 11-01-06Someone please tell me that I am wrong. Losing this game to the mediocre Jaguars just woke me up from a dream that I believed the Eagles were a lock for the playoffs. This team has two weeks to get ready and revive a virtual dead season. The next game will be an important test of this squad, however, I've said this the last two weeks. I don't want to look to February and baseball spring training yet. Big Red and the Birds should take this as serious as we do !! Take this weekend off for mental relief..........go rake some leaves.............H
Great Time in Sunny Florida ? : 10-24-06It certainly should have been, but, the mental and physical mistakes cost the Birds the game !! It should have never gotten to the point where our Eagles would lose the game, on a last second field goal to the stinkin' Bucs ( 9 offensive points ) . It's time to wake up fellas, and put a real old fashioned ass-whoopin on the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars this week. Game time is 1:00 PM, at the Linc.

TIME OUT ! TIME OUT ! TIME OUT ! : 10-17-06Oh, we don't have any..........Time management seems to be a continuing problem for Big Red, amongst other problems on defense. We had a chance to pull the game out against the Saints, but came up short at the end again. The Birds will try to make amends for some bad play and mistakes, as they travel to Tampa, against the Bucs, on FOX, at 1:00 PM, on Sunday. Look for an offensive explosion and the Eagles get to 5 and 2 for the year.

What A Game !!! : 10-11-06The Eagles took apart the Dallas Cowboys in the second half and then sent home the losers that they are, 38 - 24. Do not blink your eyes when watching our squad, because the Eagles' offense is scoring quickly, with huge plays. The Birds travel to the Big Easy this Sunday, 1:00 PM, on FOX, against the New Orleans Saints. This will not be a "trap" game for our squad, since they know they must make-up for their collapse in the NY Giants game. Head Coach Sean Payton will make this a tough match-up, however, the confident Birds will solve his game plan and takeover in the second half.

Are You Ready For Some Football? : 10-04-06The Eagles took care of the Green Bay Packers, on MNF, without much effort. The first half wasn't pretty, but, the Birds scored 24 unanswered points, to secure the win. Now, Sunday is quickly approaching, with the return of T.O. and his Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles must first focus on the 'Boys as a team, but, also make sure that Owens doesn't embarrass them or the fans of this city (re: dancing on our emblem, logo, etc.) !!!! Because.....I may have to jump on the field if something like that happens.......Look for the home Birds defensive line to have a huge game.

The Eagles improved : 09-25-06The Eagles improved to 2 and 1 with a convincing victory over the host S.F. 49ers. The offense has looked extremely impressive, but the defense must be come more consistent for the Birds to continue to be victorious over quality football teams. The next game features the Green Bay Packers, with a revitalized Brett Favre, at the Linc, on Monday Night Football, on ESPN, 8:30 PM. The Packers are coming off a victory over the winless Detroit Lions. The Eagles should keep it rolling on Monday night !!!

The Eagles blew it big time !!! : 09-19-06What a gut-wrenching loss, that we have had to endure all this week. However, the Birds travel to San Francisco this week, for a 4:15 PM, EST, game this Sunday, on FOX. This should be a must win for this team to re-establish confidence and the lead in the NFC East. If this team doesn't take this game too lightly, this should be a double digit victory. Look for the offense to open up this week.

THE HOME OPENER : 09-14-06... and what a game it should be !!! The New York Giants, visit the Linc, on Sunday, game time 1:00 PM . The Birds have to contain the NYG running game and force Manning to throw the ball, creating those opportunities for turnovers. David Akers will be the key to this game, in which these two squads are closely matched. Eagles on top this week !

Look for the Birds to unleash its revitalized pass rush on David Carr, in an effort to create turnovers and shorten the field for the Eagle offense. Birds are 4 point favorites and should cover easily.

Philadelphia Girls : 01-31-06A Philadelphia girl knows just as much about football as her guy friends, in some cases, even more. She drinks beer because it tastes good, but knows when to be classy and drink something more sophisticated. She owns an Eagles jersey not just because it's cute but because she supports her team and understands the game. She loves South St., "Delaware Ave." and isn't afraid to order food from the neighborhood bar, because let's face it, Philly girls wear winter coats and scarves a lot more than slinky dresses and sandals. A Philly girl loves St, Patrick's Day, even if she isn't Irish, because green beer is good for the soul. Philly girls don't have an accent. They just speak a different language. The word "yo" is dear to the heart, even if she may not say it. A Philly girl bleeds the green and silver and knows how to have a great time. She's stylish , sweet, has a good education and loves her friends and family. A Philly girl goes to church hung-over, only to be let out by the priest early because the Eagles kick off at 1:00. A Philly girl may not live by the beach, but may travel to the Jersey shore, only to make sure she is around a television by game time. It's Finally Over !!! : 01-03-06It's Finally Over !!! This disaster of a season finally ended on Sunday, with a 31 - 20 loss to the Washington Redskins. Many players, possibly 15, will not be returning next season and all we can hope for is the replacement and/or return of positive impact players. How about a defensive tackle, outside linebacker, back-up QB, and a receiver ? We have 9 months to wait to real football again, but, I hope to see everybody at Wing Bowl, the NFL draft in April and training camp.
